Deutsche Bank Place – Goal Post Towers

The Goal Post Towers at Deutsche Bank Place are a well-known feature of Sydney’s skyline, but their exposed steel construction makes them susceptible to corrosion from the city’s sea air. We were engaged to provide rope access services and apply our specialised height safety installation expertise to ensure these towering structures could be safely accessed for ongoing maintenance and repairs. 

At heights of up to 250 metres, the project presented significant safety and access challenges. We installed customised height safety systems, including anchors and rigging solutions, to facilitate safe movement and equipment hauling to critical points on the structure. Welding and steel repairs were also carried out to address existing corrosion, and all works were conducted with a robust safety and rescue plan in place to account for the extreme elevation. 

This project required not only technical skill in rope access and rigging, but also a deep understanding of risk management at ultra-high elevations — a capability few teams in Sydney possess. The result is a safer, more maintainable structure that can be serviced efficiently for years to come.
