Frequently Asked Questions

What is WINDA and why do I need it?
WINDA is the Global Wind Industry Database. You must register for a WINDA technician number before attending the course so your certifications can be officially recorded and validated worldwide.
What happens if my GWO certification has expired?
If any of your GWO modules have expired, you’ll need to recomplete the Initial 4-day course. The refresher option is only available for technicians with current or recently expired certification.
Is this course nationally recognised in Australia?
The GWO modules are internationally recognised, but the course also includes nationally accredited units delivered by Skylar Education (RTO 21647), providing additional certification aligned with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Do I need to complete all modules?
Yes, the Initial course includes all four GWO modules. In the Refresher, only those modules that are expiring need to be retaken — but most technicians opt to refresh all modules together for simplicity and compliance.
