Atlassian Central is set to become the tallest timber building in the Southern Hemisphere, featuring cutting-edge, zero-carbon design and integrated solar panel façades. Our role is to design, supply, and install a range of height safety systems that will allow safe, efficient, and regular maintenance of the building’s most challenging areas.
These include rail systems beneath the Level 1 soffit, as well as systems to enable rope access to the solar-integrated façade around the timber structure. The building’s forward-thinking design demands innovative engineering — many of these safety systems are being conceptualised and developed specifically for this project, as no off-the-shelf solutions exist.
Our work involves close collaboration with the client, architects, and suppliers to ensure the systems are integrated seamlessly into the structure. We’re also deploying rope access and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) to accommodate all required access methods during construction, ensuring safety and adaptability in this evolving and highly ambitious build.
