The Easthaven Sky Bridge, a pedestrian link between buildings, was in significant disrepair and required urgent refurbishment. Our scope included removing potentially lead-based paint, repairing corroded steel, replacing bearings, and repainting both the internal and external surfaces.
We also installed a Raptor Rail height safety system, enabling future maintenance crews to work on the bridge safely and efficiently. This proactive upgrade ensures the bridge will remain serviceable and safe long after the refurbishment.
The project’s location over a live car park introduced additional challenges. All works, particularly spray painting, required complete encapsulation to prevent overspray, debris, or hazardous materials from entering the surrounding environment. This was achieved through meticulous planning, environmental controls, and a staged work approach to minimise disruption.
