TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR IRATA COURSES

Enrolment & Fees

All enrolment forms and associated documentation must be received prior to the commencement of the training course.

Candidates failing to provide the required documentation shall not be permitted to commence training.

Course fees are payable in full prior to the commencement of the training course.

Candidates failing to pay course fees in full shall not be permitted to commence training.

Course fees are transferable. Should you not be able to attend the course on your specified date please contact us immediately to arrange transfer to another date.

Transfers

Fees are transferable and may be used for enrolment in a course at a later date provided space is available.

Transfer of course fee requests for reasons other than illness or injury, must be made in writing at least 14 days prior to commencement of the training course or fees and penalties may apply.

Pre-Requisites

All course candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years and have an aptitude for working at heights.

The IRATA course fees include 4 days of training plus one assessment day (5 days in total).

All candidates are required to sign a medical declaration form for courses, as they can be quite physically demanding. All information disclosed on these forms is kept private and is not available to the public.

Assessment

If a candidate fails the assessment and requires further training, they can undertake further training as well as re-sit the assessment for $1100.

If a candidate fails the assessment and does not require further training and would just like to re-sit the assessment, the charge for the assessment is $550.

  • Candidates have 60 days to attend their re-assessment.
  • After 60 days, candidates are in effect required to redo the course and attend four days of training prior to sitting their re-assessment.
  • 6 months from the date of original assessment, candidates are required to pay $1300 for four days of additional training prior to sitting their re-assessment.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your training course booking, try to do this as early as possible as the following fees will apply:

Candidates must advise Specialist Height Access in writing of their intention to cancel their enrolment. The scale of refund is determined by the amount of notice given, as outlined in the table below. Once training has commenced, no refund options are available. Applications for cancellation must be addressed to The Training Co-Ordinator and emailed to training@specialistheightaccess.com.au.

Refunds will be forwarded to candidates within seven days of their eligibility being agreed.

Failure to attend the 4 full days (30 hours) of mandatory IRATA training will result in inability to sit the assessment per the IRATA TACS requirements.

Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.

Should Specialist Height Access, for any reason, cancel a course on which a client is enrolled, the candidate will be entitled to:

(a) A full refund for the amount they have already paid for that course, OR

(b) Transfer their enrolment to another (identical) course offered by Specialist Height Access. The company will not compensate clients for time, travel expenses or accommodation expenses incurred.

Specialist Height Access will comply with The Australian Consumer Law which protects your rights to repair, replacement or refund.
