11911- SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE LEAD REMOVAL

One of Sydney’s Icons has suffered over the years –Salt has contaminated the internal structure and the paint contains a high lead content.

The result with the rains we have had is the lead was further contaminating the harbour and the environment and a dangerous health hazard. Working closely with RMS & TFNSW we provided a one stop shop in how to work in the confined space to remove the paint (by blasting), protect the structure then recoat with industrial paints to ensure the 2 x King Posts on the Southern End of the bridge are now a safe working environment for anyone needing to provide maintenance.
